On August 14th, the second edition of Lelenfant - the international artistic project for children and youth from around the world starts. The program includes events rich in the artistic performances of young artists from countries such as Iran, India, Czech Republic, Morocco, Poland, Palestine and Tanzania. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
When will we need your support?

Who do we look for?
Lelenfant is a project for you if:
– you have a lot of energy and want to take part in a large international activities,
– you like to participate in workshops and you have experience in it,
– integration is important to you and you want to get to know this year's Lelenfant project artists (e.g. from Tanzania, Iran, the Czech Republic, India),
– you are interested in #global education #sustainable development #children's rights,
– you know #Wrocław very well and will be happy to plan and show its charms to the participants,
– you like to have fun and will be happy to watch art shows by children from all over the world
If at least one of the above sentences is about you and you are interested in gaining a lot of experience while having great fun, then be sure to apply to our project! We are waiting for you!!!

LELENFANT PICNIC IN THE CASTLE

FREE ENTRANCE
The event will be inaugurated with the Lelenfant Dragon Parade, i.e. from the French lelenfant enfants dragon. Young artists will receive a winged mythical creature under their wings, which, being a massive interactive wooden toy, is ecological not only because of the materials it was made of. The dragon was constructed in such a way that when pushed, it throws out seeds, giving the Earth the beginning of a new life, and the Lelenfant project participants beginning of the new friendships, ideas and inspirations to play together.
In two program blocks at 15:00 - 16:00 and 18:00 - 19:00 on the open air stage of OPT Zamek in Leśnica there will be theater, circus, acrobatic and dance performances performed by children's and youth artistic groups from around the world.
The whole event will be complemented by the workshops and games conducted by the instructors of the Przyjaźń Sztuka Edukacja Foundation, as well as with Lelenfant groups.

We invite you to host the participants of the international edition of Lelenfant 2023 from countries such as Iran, the Czech Republic, Tanzania, India, Morocco, Palestine from August 19/23 till August 31, 2023. Children and leaders can start staying overnight with the Host Family, depending on the availability of their hosts, from August 19, and from August 23, 2023 at the latest.
The tasks of the Host Family include:
– providing accommodation (separate room) for two children from the same artistic group
– providing breakfast and dinner (and other meals on the weekend)
– transport to artistic workshops at 9:00 and pick up at 17:00 from Pilczyce (Center for the Deaf at Dworska Street) on weekdays
– constant contact with the group leader and host family coordinator
The organizers declare support in transporting and providing all meals to children!

A group of young, joyful and talented children from all over the world will appear on the Wrocław Market Square! As part of the Lelenfant project, a colorful parade supported by drummers will proudly march in the heart of Wrocław. We will ensure that the event will certainly be loud!
Each of the participating groups will perform its own short etude, presenting the audience with various cultures and arts. It will be colorful, artistic and full of music.

What will we see on the biggest stage in Wrocław?
It is, above all, the beauty of friendship, the passion for creation and the multiplicity of cultures and traditions from different parts of the world combined in an interdisciplinary show.
By following the "kids teach kids" model of artistic work, which we have practiced as Brave Kids project since 2009, nearly 70 young artists from Czech Republic, India, Iran, Morocco, Palestine, Poland and Tanzania, together with the support of adult-artistic instructors, will create a unique show that is a manifesto of Lelenfant - a Wrocław project with a global reach.
Traditional dances performed by children and youth from India, Morocco, Palestine and Iran will be combined with acrobatics performed by Tanzanians. Young people from Iran will take us to the magical and culturally rich world of ancient Persia. We will be guided through the story by scenes of circus performances - juggling, pyramids and modern dance.
At Lelenfant, we combine what is traditional with what is modern. Young artists will present us the new trends, their dreams and passions. At the same time, they are sensitive to their own roots and traditions in order to share them with the audience.
The international show is a beautiful metaphor for friendship, art and education. This is a unique event with people from all over the world in the lead role!
During the dress rehearsal, unlike the Grand Finale Show, where the artists will present costumes characteristic of themselves and their culture, children and teenagers will perform in united costumes.

The events are part of the project “PROMOTION OF WROCŁAW THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LELENFANT PROJECT IN WROCŁAW”, co-financed by the Municipality of Wrocław. It is implemented by the Przyjaźń Sztuka Edukacja (Friendship Art Education) Foundation. The co-organizer of the final events is the Polish Theater in Wrocław.
